Bohemian Princess Diary
What an evening! I am always amazed how the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange can turn the barn-like Pavilion Hall into a glitzy banquet hall and ballroom for its gala each December. The 2017 event was even extra special because I was one of the honorees. I told Retta Chandler (TCHCC Board President) and Mark Hermes (TCHCC Manager) that I really did feel like a princess!
Each year the center honors musicians, singers, DJs, and others who promote Czech music. This year was an all-ladies cast with Martha Viktorin, the East Bernard Czech Singers, Alice Sefcik Sulak, Marie Tupa, and me. My husband, John, made it even more special by inviting the Cernoch family in La Grange to join us - Uncle Sidney, Aunt Emily and my cousins Daniel and Rose, Richard and Kathy, Elaine and Matt, and Phyllis.
