A Message from Mark Hermes

Hello everyone!

For those of you who may not recognize me, I am the manager at the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center. I am also an original organizer of the Czechaholics Band in which I play the accordion. I sure miss seeing you all at the dances and fests. Let’s all keep hope in the future and come back stronger than ever!

With that said, I’d like to say I am humbled to be a part of the Texas Polka News. For years I would wait anxiously each month for the next issue to come out. Being in a band makes the Texas Polka News that much more important to me. I never would have dreamed I’d play a role in the existence of this publication that has promoted and helped keep Texas polka music strong in a time where other genres have not been as lucky.
