Well one more month until Christmas! The cool weather was nice for a couple of days, come on cooler weather….we are waiting.

Our 13th Annual Memorial Celebration for our deceased members will be Sat., Dec. 14 at the Fair Pavilion Hall in La Grange. If you have never attended this, it is a wonderful way to honor the deceased members. Willie Bohuslav does a great job of showing and coordinating the music with a slide show of the deceased. There is a Polka Mass with Jodie Mikula Orchestra providing the music. (I love a Polka Mass! Wish we could have one every Sunday!) The band will then provide the music for a free dance beginning at 1:30 pm. See details in the ad below.

Our January meeting will be here before you know it. The meeting date is Jan. 12, 2020 in Sealy at the American Legion Hall, with Lost Cause playing for our dance. We will be making plans for our fundraiser again and setting the date for our July 2020 meeting.

If you are ever out and about and are wondering what we are all about don’t be scared, come and join us, we would love to have you. If you would like to become a member, you can contact Betty Tidwell, Membership Secretary, at bjtidwell@sbcglobal.net and she will be more than happy to send you an application, or if you see anyone in red and white just ask them about becoming a member.

Take time to thank our military, police, EMTs, and firefighters who put their lives on the line every day for us. On behalf of Po.L.K. of A. “THANK YOU” for your service.
