Czech Women in Musical History

Dr. Karolina Syrovatkova, Czech-born, award-winning classical pianist, will present Lady in a Bow Tie, showcasing the life and music of a woman composer, at two Texas performances.

The first will be held at the Czech Center Museum in Houston on Thurs., Nov. 7, at 7:30 pm. Tickets: 713-528-2060 or online at www.czechcenter.org.

Lady in a Bow Tie captures the creative and romantic passions of Vitezslava Kapralova (1915-40), an internationally recognized Czech conductor and music composer of all genres. Her music has stood the test of time and proven relevant to new generations of musicians and music listeners.
