Polkadate August 2021. I have a shirt that says “What is a day like without music, I wouldn’t know”. This column is just a few stray thoughts rounded up to share with you.

The love of music is an emotion that is instilled in various persons’ soul at birth. The fortunate people who recognize this desire to perform music within themselves, reach out toward an instrument (voice included) and instinctively begin to generate a pleasing sound, which leads to learning an instrument by rote and watching others play.

A musician once related to me that they get paid to drive to and set up equipment for a dance, and take down and drive home late at night; the music is free.
