OFEST ON ISLAND TIME

Where is it cool to pair your Hawaiian shirt with your lederhosen? Galveston, of course! The 37th Annual Island Oktoberfest – kicks off Fri., Oct. 26 from 5-11 pm; and continues Sat., Oct. 27 from 11 am-11 pm. This fun, family weekend will feature continuous live entertainment on the Music Stage, Family Stage, and in the Courtyard both days. You and your crew can also enjoy authentic German food, bier, and wine; quality arts, crafts and gifts; and exciting AND expanded children's activities.

Oktoberfest will be held on the grounds of and streets adjacent to First Lutheran Church, 24th and Winnie, in historic downtown Galveston. German costumes are encouraged. Hosted by First Evangelical Lutheran Church and co-sponsored by Del Papa Distributing Company, the fest will open Friday evening with Bier Garten venues featuring a variety of German and domestic brews and a variety of German-style wines from nearby Haak Vineyards.
