Henry Machicek Benefit A Success

On May 4, 2018, a benefit was held in Granger to help with the ongoing medical expenses for accordion player Henry Machicek. In July 2018, Henry was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a rare form of bone cancer). Nevertheless, with prayers and dedication to treatments, Henry has made a miraculous recovery. The diagnosis has not only been an uphill battle for Henry, but for his wife, Susan, as well.
"We have a good God," Susan remarks. "Through his grace and angels on Earth, he's the one who's gotten Henry and I through this."
