Your Editor’s Log article on the German influence in Texas (TPN Oct. 2019) was fantastic! Over the years, I’ve researched many of the topics but not as “in-depth" and I didn’t document my research. You put it all together into a very interesting article. Thank you!! Darlene Quiring, Sugar Land
I am sad to report that Nov. 23, 2019 will be the last dance of the Cajun French Music Association Houston chapter. We have had a good run here in the Houston area with our Cajun chapter dances. Your support has been so appreciated over the years.

At the October 5 dance at the Sealy American Legion Hall, the WoodmenLife Chapter 105 presented a check to the Lions Sealy Dance Club to help with continuing the first-Saturday-of-the-month dances. These dances provide a chance for people from Sealy and surrounding towns to come enjoy music, dancing, and comradeship. WoodmenLife is a fraternal life insurance organization and Sealy Chapter 105 has made a number of monetary donations to nonprofit organizations in the area. Pictured are Bernice Stolarski, Lynn Ehler, and Alton Ehler, WoodmenLife members, and Roy Liebscher, treasurer of the dance club.
