Shuffle Off to Pearland for Tony Booth Birthday Bash

Tony Booth had such a good time celebrating his birthday at Billy’s Hall in Pearland last year that he has decided to do it again! The Tony Booth Birthday Bash will be held on Sat., Feb. 2, from 7:30 pm to midnight, once again at Billy’s Hall.

Tony, a long-time resident of Brazoria County, has held Tony Booth Day in May at Billy’s Hall for the past 11 years. The 12th annual event is set for May 4. Tony’s manager, Lynn Brown, said they were looking to book another show between the lull of New Year’s and the May event. “Tracy Pitcox (president of Heart of Texas Music Association) and I put our brains together and came up with the Tony Booth Birthday Bash,” Lynn said.

Tony’s birthday is actually Feb. 7, and he will be 76 years old. Lynn said you can expect nothing but music from Tony’s set. “Just like Ray Price, his idol, Tony gets up and sings one song after another – shuffles, two-steps, lots of great dance music.”
