CZECH & THEN SOME 20 Years of Polka Goodies
Like a fine wine, Czech and Then Some gets better with age. Getting better with age is a very fitting thing to say since that is the title of their newest CD. This album celebrates CATS' 20th anniversary, and is full of polka goodies. Right off the bat, CATS kicks off this recording with Today You're Mine Polka. The beautiful combination of dual clarinets, trumpets, and saxophones on this song puts the icing on the polka cake.
I also really enjoyed the two-part harmony that was sung by guest vocalists Eva and Vaclav Sevcik (from the Czech Republic) on the song, Zahori Waltz. The key change at the end of this song made those two-part harmony vocals sound even more heavenly.
