FAB FEST IN ENNIS

The Czech polka bands of Ennis invite you to attend the 13th Ennis Czech Music Festival, always held the weekend following the Super Bowl. This year’s event gets started with a Polka On! Pre-Party on Fri., Feb. 8, in the Sokol Clubroom, from 7-11 pm. This special night to get you all warmed up for the fest is being sponsored by Sokol Ennis and will feature music by the All Around Czechs. There are always a few other musicians lurking about, which makes for a great jam.

The fest on Saturday starts at 1 pm at Sokol with Czech & Then Some, followed by The Moravians, Ennis Czech Boys, Czech Harvesters, and Jodie Mikula Orchestra. The Big Squeeze Accordion Talent Showcase will be held from 4:30-5 pm. Enjoy a fried catfish dinner served from 4-7 pm. It’s a family atmosphere filled with great music, dancing, food, kid zone, and much more! See ad, p. 9.
